There's actually a companion book to St. Michael's Fall? And it's got nothing to do with deafness? Whoa. Even more surprises: This book focuses on the nature of nature in childhood (you read that right). The amount of material written on nature in my childhood during my rewriting of St. Michael's Fall was so vast that I had to set it aside.

More than a decade--and many drafts--later, it's now This Way to the Acorns: Poems. Care to nibble on a few acorns?
